Title: Amend Article V Section 1 of the Bylaws of the Department of Tennessee

WHEREAS, The American Legion, Department of Tennessee Constitution and Bylaws was last revised June 26, 2004; and
WHEREAS, Article V Section 1 omits the word Department when discussing the Department Executive Committee; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, by Post 254, The American Legion, Department of Tennessee, in a regular meeting assembled on October 4, 2018, That Article V Section 1 of The American Legion, Department of Tennessee Bylaws shall read; At least five days written notice shall be given all members of the Department Executive Committee of any regular or special meeting of such committee. Such notice shall be mailed to the address of record in the Department Adjutant’s office. No business shall be transacted at any special or call meeting of the Department Executive Committee except such as shall be specifically stated in the call or business of a routine nature which may be proper to come before such meeting.
